Mid-20th Century Chinese Style Polychrome Enameled Octagonal Vase - A mid-20th century glazed ceramic vase of octagonal form. The faceted body is decorated with a polychrome enameled landscape scene depicting three figures in traditional Chinese attire positioned near a gnarled tree and scholars' rocks. The reverse side features several columns of calligraphic Chinese characters rendered in a red seal-style script. The vessel is constructed with a broad, faceted body and a short, straight neck. The unglazed base bears an impressed mark reading TAIWAN and a small paper inventory label numbered 494-28. Four brown felt pads are attached to the underside. Height: 7 inches
