Miniature Siddur – Sephardic Rite – Amsterdam, 1708 – Original Elaborate Leather Binding - Year-round siddur, following the Sephardic rite. Amsterdam: Shlomo son of Yosef Proops, 1708. Miniature format, especially small. Year-round prayers, without vocalization. Original elaborate leather binding, with gilt floral decorations. On title page: ”In a small volume, the like of which has never previously existed”. On endpaper, handwritten copying of title page text, as well as a calculation of the numerical value of the chronogram on the title page. 250 leaves. Approx. 6 cm. Gilt edges. Some sheets uncut. Good condition. Stains. Tears and open tears, including open tear across margins of one leaf, affecting text, and minute tears to title page. Original leather binding.
