Yaffa Yarkoni – Handwritten Songs Notebooks and Additional Items
Collection of items from the estate of the singer Yaffa Yarkoni (1925-2012), winner of the Prize of Israel for Hebrew Song.
Among the items: · notebook with songs, where Yarkoni wrote by hand the songs which she sang alone or with a children's choir in the album "…Yaffa Yarkoni Holiday Songs". · Notebook of songs, "Yaffa Yarkoni – songs which I do not know by heart". Yarkoni pasted to the notebook's leaves printed songs, side by side with songs that she copied by hand. · Four records: Bab-elwad; Yaffa Yarkoni with a vocal and instrumental band "Jerusalem" conducted by Marc Lavry; Children's songs "as you wish"; Yaffa Yarkoi sings holiday songs. · Enclosed: a dozen photographs, booklets and promotional leaflets. Size and condition vary.
