Tapestry - Embroidery - Jerusalem, 1904 - Tapestry. Eretz Israel, 1904. Wool yarns on perforated cardboard. The embroidered tapestry is decorated with images of holy sites in Jerusalem and is inscribed accordingly: ”Mount of Olives / Hulda the Prophet / Beit Hachofshit / Zachariah the Prophet / Tomb of Absalom / Midrash Shlomo / Western Wall / Mekom Mikdash”. The year in which the tapestry was created is noted: 1904. Approx. 60X46 cm. Good condition. Framed. Unexamined out of frame.
