Varied collection of approx. 75 items, including documents, notices, membership cards of transport cooperatives and companies, receipts, photographs, postcards and badges related to transportation. Palestine/Israel, 1920s-1970s (several items are later).
In the collection: * "Tachburah VeNesi'ah BeEretz Yisrael" (Transport and Travel in Palestine), by Dr. Ze'ev Vilnay. Jerusalem: "Tor", 1945. Guide for travel services in Palestine. * Documents and letters on the official stationery of the following transport organizations: "Hama'avir", "Drom Yehuda", "Chever", "Egged" and "HaMekasher". * Work card and constitution of the "Shachar" Union for transport in Haifa, 1950. * "Notices by the People's Council (Minhelet HaAm) and its supreme institutions regarding the collection of transport taxes", 1948. * Four cap-badges and badges of the "Shachar", "Chever" and "Egged" organizations. * 20 photographs (some on postcards) of buses, drivers and workers, garages, bus stations and more. Among them, a photograph of the bus station in Tel-Aviv to the events of the first Maccabiah games. * Approx. 25 postcards published by "Egged". * And more.
