Collection of documents from the founding congress of the New Zionist Federation (Gründungskongress der neuen zionistischen organization) in Vienna and a broadside issued by the branch of Betar in the city. Vienna, 1930s. German and a little Hebrew.
1-2. Two postcards from the founding congress of the New Zionist Federation. Vienna, 1935.
On the postcards, an illustration of a chained hand holding a Menorah and the (Hebrew) inscription" "Anyone who believes in complete redemption". On one of the postcards, alongside the illustration, the letters "ה.צ.ח." and the Hebrew inscription "Founding congress – Vienna 9 Elul 1935" were printed.
On verso, stamps of the congress and various Austrian postage stamps. On verso of one postcard, a Hebrew stamp of "The Tel Chai Fund in Palestine".
3. Official envelope of The Bureau of the Founding Congress of the New Zionist Federation, Vienna 1935, with a postage stamp of the Tel Chai Fund – the marine school for training Hebrew seamen and sea-officers in Civitavecchia.
4. Envelope of a letter on which a star-of-David is printed alongside the inscription "gründungskongress der N.Z.O" [The founding congress of the New Zionist Federation]".
5. German broadside issued by the branch of Betar in Vienna, calling Jewish youth in Vienna to join the youth movement. On its upper part, an illustration of a boy standing on a fenced square, raising a flag with a star-of-David, with Herzl and Jabotinsky watching him. The margins of the broadsides are cut.
