This edition is based on the 1869 Zhitomir edition. Two title pages to each part (first title page concise); foreword and approbations in vol. I by the author's sons – the Mitteler Rebbe, Rabbi Dov Ber, and Rabbi Chaim Avraham.

Approx. 20-21 cm. Good condition. Stains, including dark stains and dampstains. Creases and wear. Minor tears and worming. Leaves trimmed, affecting headings and text margins in several places. Title page and final leaf of vol. IV reinforced with paper. Few brief glosses. Inked stamps, inscriptions and signatures. New bindings.
