Kitzurim VeHe'arot LeSefer Likutei Amarim, with a dollar bill, received from Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Brooklyn NY: Kehot publication, Erev Rosh Hashana, 29th Elul 1989. Marking the two hundredth birthday of the Tzemach Tzedek, and the Lubavitcher Rebbe's fortieth year as rebbe.
Third publication of the booklet, with summaries, comments, glosses and commentary on the Tanya, compiled from the writings of the Tzemach Tzedek, with additions by Rebbe Rashab and the Lubavitcher Rebbe; first compiled by the rebbe and printed in 1948.
The booklet was distributed by the rebbe, together with a dollar-bill, on Thursday 29th Elul 1989, Erev Rosh Hashana 5750, on the occasion of the two-hundredth birthday of the Tzemach Tzedek (29th Elul 1789-1989). Inscription inside front wrapper: "From the rebbe, 28th Elul 1989". Inscription on dollar bill: "From the rebbe".


The Distribution
On the night before Rosh Hashana, 1989, following the Minchah and Arvit prayers, the rebbe turned to face the crowd which filled the synagogue and gave a discourse in honor of the final day of the year and the 200th birthday of the Tzemach Tzedek. The rebbe then proceeded to spend over three hours personally distributing to each and every person present, the booklet which had been published for this occasion, together with a dollar-bill.
