The poster depicts lead actors Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint. The poster was presumably designed by the Jewish-American designer Saul Bass (who was also responsible for designing the opening title sequence of the movie). North by Northwest is considered one of Hitchcock's masterpieces and one of the most famous spy thrillers in the history of cinema. The scriptwriter, Ernest Lehman, was nominated for an Oscar for his work. Alongside Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint, the movie starred James Mason, Martin Landau and Jessie Royce Landis. In 1995, the movie was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry. Approx. 65X95.5 cm. (edges unevenly trimmed). Good condition. Fold lines. Minor creases. Stains (mainly to verso).
