Japanese Edo Samurai Long Katana NBTHK Papers
Remarkable signed Shyujyu Kanetuji with NBTHK judgment papers. The 27.5 inches (70 cm) blade has Bo-hi or fullers. The blade is impeccable, impressive and heavy. The hamon (temper line) is stunning. It is from Edo KEICHO period (1596-1615). The koshirae is in very good condition, with black silk-cord lacing, well-decorated signed BONJI fuchi and kashira in a SUKACHI MIGAKI design. Habaki is copper. Wooden saya (scabbard) is in excellent shape. The tsuba is signed MOGAROSHI SOUTEN with a gold-painted scene of wisdom. A very fine piece of collection of more than 400 years. With silk bag and NBTHK papers. No rack included.
