Identified Indian Wars Era Mass Militia Artillery Shako - Nice early Indian wars maker marked artillery shako from the firm of Baker and McKinney Manufacturers and Dealers in Military Goods 141 Grand St., New York. This one is identified to what appears to be H A Weller written on the bottom of the paper label in nice old brown ink. Totally unresearched item. Overall really nice condition with the body being near perfect and the liner and sweatband also being really nice shape with only slight honest wear. Wonderful maker marked paper label on the inside crown. Nice large brass starburst front plate with crossed cannons. Faded red detachable pom pom present and large Massachusetts buttons on each side. Overall a nice early Indian Wars Artillery Shako.
