Early 1870s 1st Pattern Modified Indian Wars Prairie Belt - Here is one that is seldom seen, believed to be a first pattern Indian Wars Prairie ammo belt that is Arsenal modified or field modified. These belts are attributed to being Custer range and are highly sought after by advanced and discriminating collectors. In 30 years of collecting this is the only one I have ever had. This has come out of a very old 30 year Indian wars collection by a prominent doctor in the south. This one is in excellent condition. Has only very slight use, first loop on leather belt end separated, leather belt strap professionally lengthened showing seam with inspector marks at the end, This is a museum quality example and will be near impossible to find one better.
