Excellent original condition. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Typical factory flaws. Bottom marked with Walters, date and logo . Bowl is 4 1/2” tall and 7” wide. Carl Walters started his career as a painter at the Minneapolis School of Fine Arts, the Chase School, and the Henri School of Art. After seeing the Egyptian ceramic ware at the Metropolitan Museum of Art he become a potter and began to experiment with different modeling techniques and glazes. He joined the arts colony at Woodstock during the 1920s and lived in a log cabin, where he created pottery and polychrome sculptures of animals.
