A SILVER CHANUKAH LAMP. American, c. 1900. Crafted by Russian immigrant silversmiths. The backplate decorated with a filigree Temple style menorah, lions, pillars, flowers and a crown. With eight oil urns. Marked with Russian pseudo marks. During and before the turn of the 20th century, many Russian-American silversmiths would mark their wares with the traditional marks of their home countries as their clientele was unable to read English (Sterling). 9.5” tall.
