Eulogy handwritten by Rabbi Yisrael Lifshitz, the author of "Tiferet Yisrael". Hebrew and Yiddish. At the head of each page, an acronym headline.
The eulogy is for "Rabbi …Yerucham". The content of the eulogy indicates that he was one of the geniuses of the generation. The eulogy is written in a warm and touching style and includes praise of the deceased, Mussar, philosophy, commentary of the book of Job and more.
Rabbi Yisrael Lifshitz (1782-1861) was one of the greatest rabbis of Ashkenaz, well-known for his composition "Tiferet Yisrael" on the Mishnah, which was printed in hundreds of copies.
