"Moses and the Tablets of the Covenant" medal, 2015
The 11th medal in the "Bible Stories" series - the largest biblical set ever made - 24 medals.
More than 3,300 years ago, after the Exodus from Egypt and the splitting of the Red Sea, Moses received the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai according to what is described in the Bible, the Tablets of the Covenant are stone tablets on which the Ten Commandments were written with the "finger of God". A covenant between God and the people of Israel. The Ten Commandments written on the tablets are laws between man and his fellow man and between man and God. At the opening of the Declaration of Independence, David Ben-Gurion declared that the Jewish people "bequeathed to the entire world the eternal book of books." Indeed, the Ten Commandments are at the foundation of We existed as a people and influenced the law and morality in the history of nations as a whole.
The medal illustrates the majesty and splendor of Mount Sinai and depicts Moses, holding the Tablets of the Covenant.
