A DECORATIVE LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH BRASS AND SILVERED GRAND SONNERIE CARRIAGE CLOCK OF LARGE SIZE the decorative case with engraved gilt filligree masked dial and side panels enclosing an enamelled centre with roman chapter ring above a subsidiary alarm dial. The eight-day spring-driven movement with original jewelled lever balanced wheel escapement, striking and repeating the hours and quarter hours on two coiled gongs - with strike options/silent beneath base. (20.5cm high handle up.)
