Antique English Georgian Tortoise Shell & Mother Of Pearl Tea Caddy, Early 19th Century - Description: A mother of pearl inlaid tortoise shell tea caddy having flower and foliate decoration. Of rectangular sarcophagus form with stepped lid, having two interior compartments with fitted, ivory handled lids. The body of the caddy is complimented by the perimeter ivory decoration to the base and lid. The tan velvet lid lining, silver hinges, skirted base and ball feet accentuate the period design. An original key is present.
