Antique Hickory Wood Shaft Patent 'Skooter' Golf Club, A. G. Spalding & Bros. Gold Medal Series - Description: An antique Spalding & Bros. hickory shaft Gold Medal series ”Skooter” patent Brassie. This brassie with clear deep crown stamps and a full brass sole-plate. Crown stamps retain some original gold paint-fill, and are ”Skooter”, ”Pat'd Aug. 22, 1911”, and ”Spalding Gold Medal” within an oval stamp. There is a full lead back-weight and an original leather-wrap grip. The shaft is straight>as>an>arrow, with no chips or cracks. The brass sole-plate is rounded up at the leading edge, thus to help prevent nicks and play-damages.
