AN ANTIQUE ISLAMIC AFRICAN MANDING MALINKE SWORD
A late 19th century Islamic West African Manding - Mandingo - Malinke, sword. The blade is single-edged, slightly curved made by the Mandingo tribal blacksmith in the 19th-century European military saber style. The wood hilt is cover in painted and tooled leather. The wood-covered scabbard decorated with painted tribal design.
Dimensions: L: 36 1/2 in., (93 cm.)
Condition: Very good, the blade is slightly rusted
