AN ILIA (ILIAZD) OR KIRILL ZDANEVICH, CUBO-FUTURIST PORTRAIT, OIL ON CANVAS, AFTER - A Cubo-Futurist style portrait depicting a male figure rendered through sharply fractured geometric planes and bold contrasts of red, yellow, blue, and black. The sitter's face is constructed from angular facets in the manner of the Russian and Georgian avant-garde, recalling the visual language developed by the Zdanevich brothers and other Cubo-Futurist artists during the 1910s. The work is executed in oil on canvas and presented in a modern frame. Dimensions: 28 x 20 in., (71 x 51 cm.) Condition: Good overall, visible age craquelure throughout the painted surface, particularly in darker passages. Minor surface abrasions and scattered paint stress are present.
