A RUSSIAN OIL ON CANVAS PAINTING AFTER FEDOT SYCHKOV, 20TH CENTURY - A Russian oil on canvas painting depicting two peasant women in colorful headscarves and winter clothing seated together on a wooden sled in a snow-covered landscape. The composition is after a work by Fedot Vasilyevich Sychkov (1870–1958), an artist particularly known for colorful scenes of Russian rural life, winter festivities and peasant women. Executed by an unidentified artist as a later copy. Bearing an apparently spurious Cyrillic signature ”П. Соколовъ” (P. Sokolov) lower right. Presented in a giltwood frame.
