A LARGE TURNER WALL ACCESSORY FLORAL STILL LIFE ”BLUE MUMS,” SIGNED WAYNE, MID-20TH CENTURY - A large American decorative floral still life depicting an arrangement of blue-green chrysanthemums in a dark rounded vase, dramatically illuminated against a mottled atmospheric background. The flower heads are rendered with pronounced textured impasto, contrasting with the softer treatment of the foliage and background. Signed ”Wayne” lower right. Retaining the original Turner Wall Accessory manufacturer's label and orange inventory label to the reverse, inscribed ”STYLE NO. R5884.” The model has been recorded as Turner Wall Accessory No. 5884, L116, titled ”Blue Mums.” Mid-20th century, probably circa 1950s-1960s. Presented in its substantial original-style carved and molded frame. Dimensions: 39 1/2 x 29 1/4 in., (100 x 74 cm.) Condition: Overall good vintage condition.
