AN ENAMEL PAINTED SILVER SPOON OF NAPOLEON, 19TH CENTURY - A commemorative silver spoon depicting the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, the handle being decorated with white and green enamel surmounted with gilt accents, including a large capital N for Napoleon. The underside bears two hallmarks, one appearing to read 'imparte' and the other slightly obscured but possibly a crescent moon. Germany, 19th century. Dimensions: L: 5 in., (12.7 cm.) Condition: Very good, with a light, pleasant patina. Enamel with a small spot of loss at bottom of white section. Paint well preserved. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
