A ROSENTHAL PORCELAIN PLAQUE ”THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN HELMET,” AFTER THE CIRCLE OF REMBRANDT, GERMANY, CIRCA 1930 - Rectangular porcelain plaque decorated in polychrome enamels with ”The Man with the Golden Helmet, ” depicting a contemplative bearded warrior wearing an elaborately ornamented gilt helmet and armor against a dark background. The reverse bears the Rosenthal Germany factory mark and the gilt inscription ”Der Mann mit dem Goldhelm (Rembrandts Bruder) von Rembrandt Harmensz van Ryn 1606-1669.” Presented in an elaborate gilt and faux-bois molded frame. Dimensions: 12 3/4 x 10 1/2 in., (32.5 x 26.5 cm.) Condition: Overall good condition. Porcelain plaque appears intact. No cracks or major losses visible.
