A CASED PAIR OF RUSSIAN GOLD, DIAMOND AND AMETHYST PENDANT EARRINGS - A pair of Russian pendant earrings of chandelier form, each executed in rose gold and set with numerous old-cut diamonds in silver-topped settings. The scrolling openwork body suspends three pear-shaped faceted amethysts in articulated gold mounts. The upper circular clusters are similarly set with old-cut diamonds. The reverse reveals the characteristic open-backed construction and lever-back fittings. The ear wires bear Russian ”56” zolotnik gold marks, corresponding to approximately 14K or 583 standard gold.
