A DURAND BLUE IRIDESCENT ART GLASS VASE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY - American, Vineland Flint Glass Works, New Jersey, circa 1924-1931. Of bottle form with a rounded bulbous body, elongated slender neck and widely flared rim, the surface finished in brilliant blue iridescence with turquoise, violet and gold highlights. Signed on the polished pontil ”Durand” within the characteristic large ”V” and numbered, apparently ”1714.” Comparable Durand blue iridescent vases bearing the ”Durand” and V signature are documented from the Vineland production period. Dimensions: H: 12 in., (30.5 cm.) Condition: Good condition. No obvious major chips or cracks visible. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
