A TALL FRENCH GALLÉ CAMEO GLASS VASE WITH BERRY AND FOLIATE DECORATION, CIRCA 1900 - A tall and elegant French Art Nouveau cameo glass vase by Émile Gallé, of elongated bottle form with a bulbous compressed body and exceptionally long slender cylindrical neck. The frosted pale yellow and cream ground is overlaid in amber-brown glass and acid-etched with a continuous naturalistic design of leafy branches and clusters of berries, the decoration extending from the body along the neck to the rim. The layered glass produces varying shades of honey, amber and brown against the luminous yellow ground. Signed in cameo ”Gallé” on the lower body. French, Nancy, circa 1900.
