A RUSSIAN-STYLE SILVER-MOUNTED COBALT-BLUE GLASS TEA CADDY, 19TH CENTURY - A cobalt-blue glass tea caddy of rectangular form with canted corners, enclosed within an elaborate openwork silver mount decorated with ribbon-tied floral garlands, oval cartouches, pendant bouquets, rosettes and scrolling borders. The caddy retains a fitted cobalt-blue glass stopper and a domed silver outer cover. The mounts bear spurious Ovchinnikov and Russian 84-standard marks. Dimensions: H: 7 in., (18 cm.) Condition: Very good. Patina. Some surface wear. Small dark spots. The glass stopper doesn't come out of the bottle. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
