A LARGE COPPER RITUAL TEAPOT, TSHA-GOG, TIBET, 19TH CENTURY - A Tibetan ritual teapot of rounded copper form, raised on a fluted spreading foot and applied with decorative metal panels featuring auspicious motifs and scrolling foliage. The cylindrical neck is ornamented with longevity medallions and geometric borders. Fitted with a curved animal-headed spout, an elaborate dragon-form handle, and a domed cover decorated with overlapping petals and a bud finial. Dimensions: H: 14 1/4 in., (36.2 cm.)
