AN AMERICAN GORHAM & CO SILVER AND COPPER TWIN-HANDLED VASE, 19TH CEN. - A twin handled vase comprised of a squared copper body with a circular silver rim embossed with mythological motifs. The two identical silver handles are zoomorphic in design and appear as elephant trunks emanating from a beast's face. The underside of the vase is marked 'GORHAM CO / Y33 / 0'. United States, 19th Century. Dimensions: H: 9 1/2 in., (24 cm.) Condition: Antique. Good overall. Normal patina with superficial wear. Two small dents on the lateral body edge.
