A HAND-PAINTED ENAMEL-ON-COPPER TRINKET BOX WITH SILVER APPLIQUES, SIGNED - A rectangular enamel-on-copper trinket box of shaped outline, the exterior finely hand-painted with colorful floral sprays against a white ground. The hinged cover is richly embellished with applied silver-colored Rococo scrollwork framing a central floral reserve, with further applied mounts to the sides. The cover and base joined by gilt-metal mounts. Signed. Dimensions: 1 3/4 x 3 1/2 x 3 in., (4.5 x 9 x 7.5 cm.) Condition: Good. General wear. Some damages on enamel near edges and corners. Patina.
