A KPM BERLIN HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN COFFEE SERVICE - A fine KPM Berlin porcelain coffee service, comprising a large covered coffee pot, a smaller covered pot, and five cups with matching saucers. Each piece is molded with a subtle basket-weave or Alt-Ozier relief and finely hand-painted with scattered polychrome floral bouquets and sprays, enriched with elaborate gilt foliate borders and gilt rims and handles. The undersides bear the KPM Berlin underglaze-blue scepter and iron-red imperial orb over ”K.P.M.” marks, together with various painters' and decorators' marks. Dimensions: Teapot H: 8 1/4 in., (21 cm.), Cup H: 2 1/4 in., (5.5 cm.), Saucer D: 4 1/4 in., (11 cm.) Condition: Good. General surface wear. Finial on the teapot lid broken and glued.
