A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN PROPAGANDA PLATE ”FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE RED ARMY” - After a 1923 design by Mikhail Adamovich, depicting a Red Army soldier standing triumphantly over shattered Imperial symbols, surrounded by the dates ”1918–1923.” The cobalt-blue border is decorated with gilt stars, floral garlands and the Roman numeral ”V.” Signed ”Адамович” in Cyrillic. Bearing imitation Soviet factory marks dated 1923 on the reverse. Dimensions: D: 9 3/8 in., (23.8 cm.) Condition: Very good, with a tiny chip at the rim, likely a production error as it is gilt.
