A RUSSIAN CASED SILVER TEA SET, GRACHEV BROS., 1908-1917 - Grachev Brothers, St. Petersburg, 1908-1917. Six-piece silver tea or coffee service by Grachev Brothers, comprising a teapot, a sugar bowl, a creamer, a tea strainer, tongs, and a fork. Each is engraved with a monogram. Contained in its original fitted silk-lined wooden case with a monogrammed metal plaque attached to the hinged lid. Hallmarks: each piece is hallmarked ”Grachev” in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial Warrant and the 84 silver standard. Weight: 34.3 o., 974 g. Dimensions: Teapot H: 5 in., (12.7 cm.); strainer L: 6 1/4 in., ) 16 cm.); creamer H: 3 7/8 in., (9.7 cm.), sugar bowl L: 7 7/8 in., (20 cm.) Conditions: The silver set is in very good overall condition, minor signs of wear and use. The silk lining of the original wood case is slightly worn but in good condtion for its age.
