A RUSSIAN PARCEL GILT-SILVER AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL LIDDED CONTAINER, CA. 1890 - Pavel Fedorovich Mishukov, Moscow, circa 1890. Of bulbous form on a spreading circular foot, the bowl and detachable lid richly decorated with polychrome shaded cloisonné enamel in the Neo-Russian style, with alternating panels of scrolling foliage and stylized rosettes within pointed arches, against stippled gilt grounds. The foot and knop finial similarly decorated with alternating floral and geometric bands, all within turquoise bead borders, the interior fully gilt. Hallmarks: on body and lid, Cyrillic letters 'ПФМ' (PFM) for Pavel Fedorovich Mishukov, Moscow town mark with St. George and Dragon, 84 silver standard, kokoshnik facing right (1896–1908 assay). Weight: 14.5 o., 410 g. Dimensions: H: 5 1/2 in., (14 cm.) Conditions: Overall in excellent condition for age. Enamel decoration is intact and retains strong, vibrant colors with only minimal surface wear. Gilding inside and outside remains bright with minor rubbing to high points and interior base from contact. Hallmarks are clear and well-struck on both body and lid. No visible dents, splits, or structural repairs. Very minor expected surface scratching consistent with light handling and age. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
