A RUSSIAN GILT-SILVER AND CLOISONNE ENAMEL TEA GLASS HOLDER BY KLINGERT - Gustav Klingert, Moscow, 1899. Of cylindrical form on a spreading circular base raised on bracket feet. The body is richly decorated with scrolling foliage, palmettes and floral rosettes in blue, turquoise, white, red and purple cloisonné enamel against a gilt stippled ground. The openwork upper rim is formed as a continuous band of interlaced heart-shaped motifs. The upper and lower borders are decorated with turquoise enamel beads. The architectural handle is formed with baluster sections, geometric ornament and enamel accents. Hallmarks: ”KLINGERT”, assayer's mark ”A.A.” dated 1899, St. George city mark for Moscow and ”88” silver standard. Weight: Dimensions: H: 4 3/8 in., (11.1 cm.)
