A RUSSIAN GILT SILVER AND CLOISONNE ENAMEL LIDDED BOTTLE, 1879 - A Russian gilt-silver lidded bottle decorated throughout with polychrome cloisonné enamel floral and foliate motifs. The rounded body rises to a tapering neck and fitted domed cover, both continuing the enamel ornament in coordinated bands and reserves. The palette includes blue, green, red, white, and ochre tones set against gilt silver grounds. The piece is finished with decorative borders at the shoulder, neck, lid, and foot.
