A CASED GILT-SILVER AND CLOISONNE ENAMEL TEAGLASS HOLDER, 1896 BY OVCHINNIKOV - The cylindrical holder decorated with polychrome scrolling foliage and flowerheads in turquoise, blue, green, white, mauve and red cloisonne enamel, raised on a spreading geometric-enamel foot and fitted with an angular enamelled handle. Accompanied by a gilt and engraved glass and a matching enamelled spoon, all contained in a fitted wooden case lined in velvet and silk. The lining is stamped beneath the Imperial eagle: ”From the shop of the manufacturer P. Ovchinnikov.” The teaglass holder is marked ”ИЯС” in Cyrillic, ”A.A / 1896” for Moscow assay master Anatoly Artsybashev, ”84” silver standard and the Moscow city mark. Weight: 7 oz., 200 g.
