A RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNE ENAMEL STOPPERED SCENT BOTTLE - Late 19th/early 20th century. Of baluster form, with a spreading circular foot, elongated tapering neck and detachable egg-shaped stopper. The body finely decorated with shaded cloisonne enamel floral and foliate motifs in turquoise, cobalt blue, pale blue, white and red against gilt stippled grounds, the turquoise reserves filled with scrolling gilt cloisons and flowerheads. The borders ornamented with white enamel beads, the foot with radiating polychrome lappets. The underside struck with the Russian ”88” silver standard, kokoshnik and a rectangular maker's mark ”HA”.
