A RUSSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL PRESENTATION TEA GLASS HOLDER - Of cylindrical form on a spreading circular foot, the body and angular handle are richly decorated in polychrome cloisonné enamel with scrolling foliage, flowerheads, and stylized palmettes in shades of turquoise, cobalt blue, green, red, white, and gray against a gilt-stippled ground. The foot, upper and lower borders, and handle are further ornamented with turquoise enamel beads and multicolored foliate bands. The front is engraved with an elaborate monogram. The gilt underside is engraved ”To our dear Mother from her children in Yalta, Nov. 5/98.” Struck beneath with ”84” silver standard, kokoshnik and the maker's mark ”VA”. Weight: 6.1 o., 172 g.
