A RUSSIAN GILT-SILVER SILVER AND CLOISONNE ENAMEL TEA GLASS HOLDER - Russia, circa 1900. Tapering cylindrical form on a spreading circular foot, with a tall, angular handle. The body is richly decorated with scrolling foliage, palmettes and stylized flowerheads in blue, turquoise, green, white and red cloisonné enamel against a gilt stippled ground. Turquoise enamel bead borders and a lower band of alternating teardrop and triangular motifs frame the decoration. The handle is decorated with conforming floral ornament against a deep blue ground, with square terminals enclosing white flowerheads. The interior is gilt. Hallmarks: VA, 84, kokoshnik.
