A LARGE RUSSIAN GILT-SILVER AND NIELLO SPOON, 1895 - Moscow, 1895. Russian gilt-silver and niello spoon. The reverse of the bowl features a fine niello view of the Moscow Kremlin, including its towers, walls, and domed churches, bordered by a decorative edge. The handle is cast and decorated with a spiral-twist central section, smooth tapered ends, and a ball finial at the terminal. Hallmarks: 84 Russian silver standard with assayers' mark: ”L.O” dated 1895, maker’s mark ”MS”. Weight: 2.3 oz., 66 g. Dimensions: L: 7 5/8 in., (19.4 cm.) Conditions: Good condition.
