A RUSSIAN CUT-GLASS DECANTER AND STOPPER, IMPERIAL GLASS FACTORY, ST PETERSBURG, LATE 18TH–EARLY 19TH CENTURY - Of waisted baluster form, the body is cut with alternating opposing teardrop-shaped panels of cobalt-blue and colorless glass arranged in a dynamic spiral pattern. The tall neck is encircled by a molded knop and fitted with a floral-form stopper terminating in a faceted conical finial. The underside is cut with a radiating star.
