A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN SERVICE, KORNILOV, 19TH CENTURY - Kornilov Brothers, St. Petersburg, 1861-1884. Russian porcelain dessert service. The set comprises a three-tiered pedestal stand, an elongated oval serving platter, and six dessert plates. Each piece is decorated with a central floral bouquet featuring roses and other vibrant polychrome flowers. The borders are finished in a soft rose-pink ground, framed by intricate, raised and tooled gilt bands with alternating scroll and heart motifs, and edged in gilding. The tiered stand is composed of three graduated plates mounted on a turned porcelain stem with gilt accents. Marks: each piece has a Kornilov Brothers' mark in blue ink underglaze. Dimensions: H: 14 1/4 in., (36.3 cm.) Conditions: Good condition. Normal wear and traces of use, consistent with age. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
