A RUSSIAN KORNILOV BROTHERS PORCELAIN PAN-SLAVIC KOVSH ST. PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1900 - Of traditional kovsh form, raised on a circular foot and terminating in a large, flat, pierced handle decorated with green interlaced strapwork. The interior is centered with the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle, surrounded by a band of polychrome heraldic cartouches representing Russian cities and regions, interspersed with stylized flowering foliage. The borders and handle are enriched with green ornament and gilt edging, in the Pan-Slavic taste. Marks: Printed Kornilov Brothers standing-bear export mark, ”Made in Russia by Kornilow Bros.”, painted pattern number ”218.” Dimensions: L: 8 1/4 in., (21 cm.)
