A RUSSIAN KORNILOV BROTHERS PORCELAIN CUP AND SAUCER BY THE KORNILOV BROTHERS FACTORY, ST. PETERSBURG, LATE 19TH CENTURY - The cylindrical cup with a loop handle, decorated with a broad gilt band of stylized red and blue geometric motifs inspired by Russian folk embroidery, framed by red and white chequered borders. The saucer decorated en suite. The cup interior with a gilt ornamental border and both pieces with gilt rims. The saucer marked beneath with the polychrome Kornilov Brothers factory mark bearing the Russian Imperial double-headed eagle and inscription ”В С.
