A RUSSIAN GARDENER PORCELAIN FIGURE, CIRCA 1890S - Gardner Factory, 19th century. Titled ”A man with a loaf of bread, ” from the famous series ”Pictures of People's Lives.” Depicting a man in a coat, sitting on a wooden block, with his shoes and a hat next to him, sprinkling salt on a piece of bread. The figurine is highly detailed and neatly painted. Marked on the base with a Gardner Factory stamp in red ink, an incised factory mark, and a handwritten number ”125.” Dimensions: H: 5 1/4 in., (13.2 cm.) Conditions: Good condition.
