A RUSSIAN GARDENER PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A SBITENSCHIK, 19TH CENTURY - A Russian porcelain figure of a Sbitenschik (Sbiten Vendor) produced by the Gardner Porcelain Factory. The man is depicted holding a sbitennik in one hand and a teapot in the other, a ring of crackers hanging from his arm, and his belt holding glasses to pour the drinks into. The underside bears the Gardner mark. Verbilki, Russia, 19th century. Dimensions: H: 7 1/4 in., (18.4 cm.) Conditions: Very good, with one tiny chip to underside, a couple tiny spots of rubbing.
