A RUSSIAN PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A MUSICIAN, POPOV FACTORY, C. 1860 - A Russian porcelain figure of a musician produced by the Popov Porcelain Factory around the year 1860 and marked with their symbol in blue ink underglaze, as well as an impressed Popov mark and an impressed letter ”A”. The bard, dressed in flamboyant blue and gold and a red cape, is seen sitting against the base of a tree as he plays his lute. Russia, 19th century. Dimensions: H: 6 7/8 in., (17.5 cm.)
